Merci à tous ce qui ont aidé ==================================== on 3 February Rick Stanton and I were able to pass the end restriction in the Font del Truffe. We reached the end on CCR, removed our rebreathers and ascended the rift open circuit, before replacing the rebreathers and continuing. The rift was ascended for 10m, before opening out where horizontal progress could be made. S12 was 130m long, with an airbell close to the end. S13 was 90m long and ended at an airbell with solution tubes in the roof. No further way on could be seen above or below water. On the return a dry bypass was found to S12. The trip lasted 9.5 hours. Thanks to all who helped, including Pete Mullholland Christine Grossart David Haselden Jason Franks Johan and Martin from Oxygene |

John V | I used a Castoro c96 fully closed with 1L of oxygen & a KISS Valve, Rick used a semi closed rebreather based on a Draeger scrubber. These were chest mounted. We used 2 side mounted tanks, I used 2x10L with 50% and 35%, rick used an 11L & a 7L. We used the rebreathers to the end rift, then held them to the side to ascend the rift until it opened out. Frank, I can send you a sketch of the end if you wish. Also, I forgot to mention Nadir, who also helped - thankyou. |

John V | Mario, we took a number of photos up to S5, mainly of David Haselden and Jason Franks as they carried inwards. We took the absolute minimum of equipment to allow us to cross the cascades between S10 & 11 in one go. John |
